Our chickens are great companions. They will jump in my lap. They come when called, talk to me, know their names, and have greatly reduced the bug population in my yard. My grass has never been thicker or more heathly. Each has their own personality. They are a constant source of amuzement. The eggs they provide have a flavor far superior to store bought. In short they provide companionship like my cats, with benefits to my yard and my diet!
