Chicken Proofing my dog

I do let my doodle out alone with the chickens and haven’t had an incident like you’re describing. But I reinforce good behavior regularly when I am out with her
I have become slack with positive reinforcement since everything was going so well I dropped my guard. She'll be on a long line around my waist (or in the house) for the foreseeable future.

Yes they both do.
Then I'd get out your deepest "I mean business" voice and start training immediately. And I wouldn't offer food rewards for good behavior, since food can make dogs excitable. The reward is being able to stay off leash. If they don't listen, they get leashed.

The dogs should view the chickens as 100% off limits. Especially that cute little husky mix.

She is a cutie and so sweet and easily trained (in most cases) so I don't think it'll take much to get her back on track. That little RIR is a pecker and nails me anytime he gets a chance (12 weeks can't get here soon enough). I still don't want her thinking it's okay to go after them, regardless.
