Chicken Question

Nope! That's just what they do. They are grabbing them because they intend to mate them... whether the girls like it or not.
The only thing you can do to stop him is turn him into a capon or stew or lock him up away from them!

No roosters for me and my gals! :frow
I'm tempted sometimes because they are a beautiful bird and they serve several purposes. Protection for the flock, wake up alarm , egg fertility if that's what a person wants. But for me it would have to be boiled or re homed.

I recently been watching my chickens and one of my roosters grabs one of my hens by the neck. Is This normal? Can I train my rooster not to grab the Hen by the neck?
How old are your birds?
How many males and how many females?
Multiple males can cause a plethora of stress and possible injury.
