What is the kiddie pool for?So I think my 6week old chickens are ready for the coop should they be ok at night temp are not to cold here in az any ideas I should do for them to feel comfortable at night like bedding etc I do have plenty of water and food and lots of space seems to stay pretty warm even on rainy days when the rain does come around lol I also put there kiddie pool in there they have been since I got them...
How old are they? You'll hate having them in the house that long and they don't need to be. The earlier you get them out the better and faster acclimated they'll be.Yes, they'll be in the house most of the winter as it is fairly cold here.
It is 47° today with snow less than 500' above us & 29° tonight with snow. Here in az it’s still high 80s low 50 so they should be fine out side here
They are about a week now, maybe a day or so over. I'm just hoping to make it threw the bitter cold portion of winter, actually I'm hoping it is a mild winter but I dont think it will be.What is the kiddie pool for?
I have 3 large hatches of chicks going out this afternoon. The oldest is 24 days. I'm about out of wing bands and the new ones won't be here before the middle of next week so all the young ones 1 to 2 weeks of age will be out by then. Yours are more than old enough.
