Chicken Recently Attacked By Fox She Now Can't Walk!

I find it difficult to assess leg or hip issues that could be a sprain, break, or dislocation. They are good at masking all but the worst pain.
I check for swelling which could indicate a break. I also do a test for range of movement. Its unpleasant for the hen but she will let you know what really hurts the most. A break can be dealt with by making a sling box for her to live in that takes the weight off the leg or foot while it heals several weeks. Lots of tlc required.
A small sprain can be dealt with by keeping her grounded and confined to let it heal without further injury.
A dislocation is the area of expertise currently beyond me. I'm sure someone here has great advice.
Big hems heal legs slowly and the lovin they get turns them into ideal attentive brooders and nannies in my experience.
I'm rather new here so I'm not sure if there is a thread already with instructions hiw ti build a sling box. Anyone...??
