Chicken recipe needed

How did it go?? I ended up making Chicken and Dumplings, too! LOL! My DD had a friend over and they ate so much (she'd never had it) that when my 7yo DS woke up the next day, he was furious that there were no leftovers for breakfast! LOL! He's an odd kid...leftover spaghetti or chicken and dumplings are a favorite breakfast!

Hope it turned out well!

I am going to have to try the squash that ninjapoodles posted! YUM!!! The trick to chicken and dumplings is to just find what your family likes...mine likes it thick and a little spicy, some like it thinner. It is easy to adapt to your family and they are ALL good!

Thanks for asking. It turned out great!! My family loved it. My hubby said the dumplings were as good as his Moms! Not bad for the first time. My family liked it thick and spicy too! Thanks again for the recipe!

Woohoo! Glad they liked it! What a compliment that you made it as good as your DH's mom!

It is very easy just a little time consuming, but well worth it, I think. It's a good "all day long while doing other things" meal, you know? Boil the chicken while doing laundry or cleaning, let it cool while doing dishes, debone it while watching tv

, roll out the dumplings and let them dry while vacuuming, then voila, DINNER!

I usually make it at least twice a month in the winter, sometimes more. Can't think of a more delicious way to use a tough roo, either! Haven't had that opportunity, yet, but hopefully next year!

Thanks for the update!
