One of my hens began to attack her I am assuming she knows shes sick.
My flock of 5 has maybe been completely well 1 week out of the last 5 months. When they were born we dealt with coccidia forever to the point we had to take one to the vet for something stronger than corid.
A few of my girls occasionally sneeze but recently 2 are becoming ill. One worse than the other, open mouth breathing and "barking" crop also seems to not be emptying correctly. It is not hard, I do not think it is sour crop. It was full and soft but overnight it did not empty. When I let her out to the normal water she drank for so long that when I picked her up a little water came out of her mouth.
I put Tiaguard in the water at the correct dose but she will not drink the water at all. Any tips?
I am just about over having chickens
This was the first flock I raised from babies. I keep things very clean where they are, and scrub their water dish as well. I don't know what I am doing wrong but it's just been a constant stress.
(Side note: the two acting sick are about to laying age but have not laid yet. )
