So I have a 6 month old Easter Egg hen that was attacked yesterday she lost some feathers and a little piece of skin maybe 1/2 diamater.

Have not seen her eat but she drinks water. She acts very lethargic and holds her wings down rather then holding them in? I also noticed one of her eyes is all black. There seems to be no red ring on the outside? There is no visible damage or blood around the eye.

Other then giving her a comfortable warm place inside is there anything else I can do for her?

Yup. Poultry drench, scrambled egg. Triple antibiotic ointment with out caine in it. Are you sure there is no other damage? What attacked her?
Could I ask a question? The triple antibiotic ointment...is this what you would put on a human, or is this something for chickens only?

Well I finally got her to come out of the coop with some scratch coaxing. The red ring is there and the eye seems to be fine, i guess I just couldn't get a good look at it in the coop XD. Thanks for your reply.

I believe that would work. Like Nova stated as long as it doesn't have any ingredient with the word caine in it. Its the pain relief ingredients that are toxic to chickens from my understanding.

Thank you very much. I do understand about the pain relief ingredients. I saw on another thread that you can also use Neosporin, which every mother has in her med cabinet.
