Chicken Rugbey?

Yesterday I decided to go out in the yard and dig up some grubs for my 6, 3 week old chicks. I opend up the brooder and with a grub in my hand I waited for one to come take it out of my fingers. At first they did not know what to think but as soon as one got brave enough to take it, the match was on. I laughed so hard because it was like watching a rugbey match on TV. They never had a treat before yesterday and now as soon as I walk to the brooder they all come running to see what I have for them.

I have never raised chickens before and I think this is going to be a great adventure.

Introducing new treats is one of the most fun chicken activities. At first they may look quizzical, and then they will go nuts over it.
