Chicken run fence height

How tall of a fence will I need to build to keep my ladies off of the neighbor's Cadillac?

Depends on the size of your birds heavy breeds can't fly as high. I would recommend at least 6 feet. I have a six foot fence with flight netting on top. mostly to keep flying predator's out

My lighter birds can definitely clear 6'. Run is now netted so that's no longer an issue.

Your run should be walk-in height, eight feet or so, and covered. Yard fencing depends. I have birds that can clear ten feet if motivated, but don't bother (usually!). Very large adult chickens generally will stay inside five or six feet, and it's also possible to wing clip (shorten flight feathers on one wing) to restrict flight abilities.
It's about motivation! If there's plenty of goodies and things to do at home, most birds will stay inside a fence.
