chicken run fencing

I need some advice on whether or not to bury fencing, how deep, should it go straight down or slope out to deter animals. I told my husband I want to bury it 12 inches then I read some people slope it out. Also I want him to set two of the end posts in concrete to make it more sturdy but he doesn't know how we will attach the fencing around the cement. I want him to do it anyway and deal with it once the run is finished. Decisions, Decisions!!! Thanks

I have aprons at the bottoms of the pens that are reachable by predators, like this:

Do a BYC search for "hardware cloth apron" to see threads to get ideas if needed.

I vote for an apron since it may be less likely to rust out. I have not tried an apron though, but have only seen pics of them.
