As you can see my whole yard is a hill. I have 0 clue how to best level this run. I was thinking cutting a 4x4 post then running boards along the bottom. I know the chickens won't care they live on a hill. I will have a home made built coop inside the run. I debated building something from wood, but to save time, energy. And money pre-built metal frame seemed best. I plan to line with hardware cloth, it's just how do i make it visually appealing for myself?

Most of my property is sloped like that too, but I put our coop at the bottom of the hill where it's less sloped. I chose to use cinder block foundation so I could both terrace/step the overall design, as well as excavate the high-side and build-up the low-side (my coop build is linked under my username).

Terrain is still sloped inside, so to keep the bedding materials somewhat level and from all migrating to the low-side and pushing up against the fencing, I used a few log "weirs/dams" to mitigate that.

Hi, and welcome to BYC! Our run is similarly built on a slant, though not as drastic. I was worried about it at first, but now I like it this way because the water doesn’t pool in the run. We also use boards to keep any dirt, bedding, etc. from running out too much. Are you particularly worried about it being on a slant or is it a purely cosmetic issue?

I think its just that there is a gap and it's totally crooked 🤣. For me it's more cosmetic, but also trying to make sure it's predator proof.
