My wife and I bought some farm fence panels and made a wonderful pen for our baby goats! It was super easy and quick to put up, which is ideal as we are so busy and always on the go! I have looked everywhere but cannot find a similar panel for chickens. We have a really nice coop, but we need to make a run to attach to it. It would just be so much simpler and less time consuming if there were pre-made panels that were designed for such projects, like the farm fence panels, but smaller for chickens. Anyone have any ideas or know where we can get such a thing? Any idea about the cost? Or do they even exist?? Thanks to anyone who can help!

Some use dog kennel panels but be sure to line the bottom vertically with something else like hardware cloth and apron out the hardware cloth at the bottom horizontally or bury it. The vertical lining is to keep hawks, owls, and coons from pulling chickens through and the apron or burying it is to prevent diggers from coming in.

A top is good too as raccoons climb and hawks will pick them up.

We used cattle panels, bent into an arch and attached to metal fence posts driven into the ground. Welded wire fence closes the ends. We put chicken wire over all, then hardware cloth 2 feet up and extending out a little more than a foot to deter digging. It's working great, lots of room, I can stand upright in it, and we think it looks nice.

The shade is landscape fabric because it's what we had on hand. It was supposed to be temporary but the wind kinda goes through it instead of turning it into a sail like a tarp so we are keeping it on.

We added the lattice this week because we live in town and our set up is visible from the street. We wanted it to look nice.
