Chicken run??

I'm going to get chickens but obviously coop comes first so my chickens can't free range every day so I need a large run I'll only have 3-4 chickens I was thinking what if for their run i used a dog run and put the coop in that then made it predator safe how does this sound? Is this a good idea?

Depending the size of the dog run and coop I’ve known a lot of people do that with work like you said to predator proof it. What size are they?

Sounds good except for one thing, dogs runs are made of chain link correct ? That is a two inch hole , I hate my chain link doors on my run, wild birds and mice fit threw , my cats reach threw . I guess it would work but if you have small predators it will be a problem .
