Chicken Runs Made with Bull Panels, Hardware Cloth, T-Posts, and Chicken wire

Just added partial cover on top and on north side wall. Hopefully helps the girls this winter

That's exactly what we are preparing for, winter. We just had tarps last winter, and wouldn't you know it the land we opted to build the runs and coop are a little enough of a downward slope it was a wet mess!

With the changes we're making with the runs where they are similar to a greenhouse set up, and adding tin, tarps, and gutters, this should be a winning combination. The sidewalls roll down into the gutters that are wired to the runs.

We also use a rain barrel for water and have a horizontal water system similar to what can be seen on Carolina Coops. Plus, we have vertical feeders too.
 
I don't select where I live because we live in a very rural and private area. I will just say, we have all kinds of weather elements, high winds, sometimes tornadoes, very hot temperatures and humidity, extremely wet weather, plus extremely cold weather. Just plain ole' seasonal changes weather changes.
Even just a general section of a state can be helpful.
