We have mostly RI Reds.
In a recently built large shed/coop there are approx. 20 hens (the ones in there are RI Reds). No roosters in this area.
They are all about 3 years old and all are laying eggs (hay in nests is changed ~daily).
A few of our chickens have had this horrible condition and the hen in the pictures has been like this for about 1 1/2 weeks. We've tried soaking her feet in epsom salt water, put on antibiotic gel, covered the sores with gauze, etc. We are wits end regarding what we can do; any ideas are TRULY appreciated!
OMG - I cannot figure out how to post the photos here; I have the images on my phone, and in my google Drive in a folder, as well as in in my Gmail email. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to do this? Is there an easy (not too technical) way to do this? Are the steps somewhere on Backyardchickens.com?
