Chicken saddle apron question

Today I received my chicken aprons I ordered and couldn't wait to try them on my hens who were starting to show wear and tear from my Roo. Well, the reaction I got was not what I expected. I got the apron on the first hen and she went running off and and my Roo went running after her and attacked her along with a few of the other hens also. She tried to hide from them but they kept running after her. I took the apron off and everything went back to normal. Now, I don't know what to think. Does anyone have any input about these aprons and if the hens need to adjust to them being on? My Roo did not like it on his girl.

I’ve only tried one. It took the hen about an hour to stop trying to remove it, but none of the others treated her differently. The roosters still mate with her. She hasn’t become a target. Maybe try with a different hen? It could be that her own reaction to wearing it made her stand out and the center of attention.
