I want to plant a few trees in and around my run. I have poor soil so I wanted to use local trees/plants that I know will do well. I have hundreds of bay trees around and want to know if they are safe for chickens to have access to. Will they eat bay leaves? If so, is that bad?
Thanks

I had some fruit trees in my chicken’s yard. I had to put barriers around the base of the newly planted trees. They were digging huge holes around the bases and digging into the roots..

How about safe FROM chickens plants and trees. I can't imagine anything surviving that was even remotely edible, and that would be de-rooted and pulled over in no time anyways. You could plant around the run so it looks nice.
