I would like to plant some evergreen shrubs along one side of my runs to make them look a little nicer from the street. Does anyone have a particular low shrub that they use that the chickens won't eat or one that is safe for them to eat? It will be on the outside of the run but as it grows i am sure a branch or two will sneak in. Thanks

Dwarf Blue Star Juniper is a good choice. Never get too big and chooks will not eat them. Bluish grayish greenish color . I use it to make my slate colored roof shingles pop on my home. I also have a hybrid Fat Albert blue spruce out front off one corner that does that same thing.

I have some type of boxwood in my run. They use it for shade, but could care less about eating it. I also have the dwarf spruce trees along the fence.
