Chicken scales??

Do chicken scales fall of, then grow back? My rir's scales are brittle and it look like they are growing back?

are you talking about leg scales? can you post a picture for us? It sounds like you may have scaly leg mites

No, it doesn't look like scaly leg mites. It just looks like it falling off and another is growing back.
