I have 2 - 1 year old buff orpingtons that I just moved into a larger house/ run I built along with 2 Rhode Island reds which are about 4 mos old. Everything went well for the first 5 days then today the Orpington attacked one of the reds and literally partially scalped her. I don't know what to do so I put them back in separate runs and houses were they can see each other with the hope that they will get used to each other while separated and learn to get along. Any tips or ideas? I reAlly think the Orpington was going to kill the red. It was the mos violent thing I've ever seen.

You did the right thing to separate them when blood was drawn. I would give them as much space as I could when trying to integrate them again. If the buff attacks and chases her that violently again there may be no way they can live together.
