Chicken scratch for geese?

It really depends.

How old is your goose?

Scratch is pretty much like junk food to birds, there isn’t a lot of nutrients in it, it only has 8% protein where a goose needs 17 to 20% protein, and that’s not even looking at the vitamins and minerals content. Geese should be fed an all flock/multiflock/flock raiser as their main feed.
So scratch is a nice treat, but should only be given occasionally, otherwise they’ll fill up on it instead of their normal feed and end up with nutrient deficiencies.

@Goosebaby is right about scratch being "junk food." That being said, I only give it as an occasional treat to any of my poultry.

But, I find it extremely useful as a lure when my sometimes-stubborn geese, Gussie and Golly, decide they'd rather not go into their house at night and mere all-flock is not enough to persuade them. It only takes a very small amount of scratch to change their minds. Kind of like me and Aldi's small dark chocolate bars!
