chicken screaming

Hello;

I am not sure what it is but a couple of my RR's HENS make loud yelping sounds around 6am everymoring. Usually when I walk out there they stop. I think it is starting to bother the neighbors.
Any thoughts as to what may be causing this?

Is it like the noise they make when they lay eggs? Some hens are loud and always will be..... When you say yelping I'm not sure what to think..... The only time my hens make a lot of noise is when they are startled (obviously not it) laying eggs or just plain being talkative. And they basically make the noise they make when they lay eggs..... It's probably just chickens being chickens and about the only thing I can think of to get them to quiet down is to give them more distractions and things to scratch and play in. Or pick a quieter breed though that breed isn't known as being any louder then most.

It may be the "egg song", or more likely they can see you through windows and want you to come give them food.
