chicken sex

A friend told me the other day that incubation temps determine the sex in alligators eggs.....could this be true in chicken eggs too?

That is true in alligator eggs but I don't think it is in chickens........lets see what others say....

Nope, I think its the rooster, thats why we can get sex-link chickens. ( shoot, now I'm not sure it could be the hen, now I'm going to have to look it up) Just look it up ite the hens they produce 2 different eggs one for hens and one for roos, thats why the average is 50/50.

That only works with reptiles. I wish it were true with chickens.

Chickens are pre determined by the hen if they will be male or female, so nope, not like some reptiles.
