Chicken Shaming to Lighten the Mood

Hors d'oeuvres aside, are Beagles good with chaykins? Been trying to narrow down breeds for a while... beside oversized sheepers, no luck so far.

Our Black Lab / Great Dane mix and our boxer/mastiff/ pit bull (and who knows what else) mix were both great with the chickens. The chickens were added when the dogs were adults. They knew the "leave it" command, so that's about all they heard for the 1st couple months. They didn't actually "guard" the birds. They merely shared the yard and chased all the bunnies, squirrels, & other birds away. They were decent hawk deterrents and never chased the chickens. I didn't like that they ate chicken poop and occasionally got into some chicken feed, but we never had a predator loss while the dogs were outside. Ours were mostly house pets, but they liked to spend about 4-5 hours a day outside when the weather was nice.

My adult pitt bull leaves them alone too. Occasionally he'll look at them like he wonders what they are, but he has never chased them. He also knew "leave it" when we brought the biddies home. The other dog however we got when he was a puppy and it has been a rough ride....

I love to be cuddled so I play shy when I get held, pretend to be sleeping...but....

When the other Roosters see me I chase them away!

I'm in love with a human...I think it's a hen. I cuddle and preen her and sing her songs of the roost!

We like to poop on the rabbits!

I like to poop in their nest boxes!
I also like to screaming my head off until the human yells " Looks like chicken for dinner", then I get real quiet.

LOL...@luckychick105 lil's ones love to escape but quickly regret it. it's a weird oxymoron of neverlearning.... I've lot hours chasin' and puttin' "it" back.... that's how they get us
