My Olive Egger just started laying and her eggs are gorgeous. Well worth waiting forView attachment 1135670

What a beauty! I was finding her feathers in a nest box here and there and was sure she was scoping them out. Now I think she was putting them in there to throw me off.

Is that a White Rock you have? So beautiful!

I have no idea! I thought she was a poorly colored lav orp? Or an ee, I'm waiting on her egg to try to figure her out. Shes so full and softly feathered. She has whitish legs

These freeloaders are such late bloomers! The cockerel just started to crow at 6 months old, he is still not mating or even trying. The others are just happy to laze about all day. They tease me once in awhile by singing the song of their people or taking a look at the nests, just appeasing me so I keep my crockpot in the cupboard.

Maybe she is a white rock? The legs should be yellow though.......
