Chicken Shaming!

I like to go "chick bowling."
I wait till the youngest of the flock gather in a group scratching in relative safety.
Without warning or noise I run full speed into the group and watch them scatter!
It earned me the moniker B*tch Pudding.

I have a BCM I don't think has ever laid an egg. She's over a year now. At one point her comb got real big and her legs had a reddish tint like a male would. Then it went down again.
I recently saw a story about a hen that had damage to one of her ovaries. It stopped producing female hormones so the male hormones took over. Her comb got big and she started crowing.
Makes me wonder about my girl(?) LOL

Just wanting to show this big Australorp girl! Look at that comb! Those wattles! 6 months and not laying....she needs to be shamed, walking around looking like a full grown up but not caring one bit about giving up the eggs!

Sorry to hear it. She does look like she's ready. I can't explain why, but my 5 1/2 month old Australorp has been laying for about three weeks now. Her RIR and Barred Rock friends started laying a week earlier and I guess she decided to act like the "big girls".
