Chicken Shoes

I have a lovely Lavender Orpington ( think a Roo ) that has a spayed foot ( curls under ) . I used Q-tips and tape to make splints for his upper legs but need to know if anyne out there has some suggestions,ideas, patterns , et al for some foot splits.

I've seen some folks fashion 'shoes' out of stiff cardboard. They are generally only effective on chicks.
