Chicken sick and not laying for 2 months, suddenly well and laying again?

I had a lethargic 3y old who looked not well. Thought she was eggbound, gave her multiple baths. nothing worked. She had an odd limp going on too. This went on for about 2 months. Suddenly last week she started acting normal again! Her color is better and everything. Right now she is in the nestbox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it, I thought for sure she was done for and would never lay an egg again and just eventually get worse and finally die. But she just surprised me being on the nest box and acting normal this past week!

I sure hope that she stays well.

If you notice her acting off again within the next month or so, I would do a search on "internal layer." I had a girl that would get really down, then would improve for a few weeks, then down again - did that for about 5 months and finally she died from what I suspect was intermal laying issues - she never laid after becoming sick, but she would act happy and healthy for weeks at a time. She was a sweet chicken, and I felt horribly for her. So I hope your girl doesn't go through that...
