Hello BYC! My family along with our 5 chickens recently moved just north of Seattle to Shoreline, WA. We have a trip planned for Christmas time, and was wondering if any of you knew a good way to search for local chicken sitters? The girls won't need much, just a few checks to make sure that they have food and water and that everyone looks healthy. They don't need to be let in and out as their coop doesn't have a door to the run area. Any ideas would be so welcome! Thanks!

Hi! If you're on FB, there's probably a local page for Shoreline where you could try asking for referrals. There's one for my local town where people post about finding lost animals, looking for a hair salon, etc.

I've used Rover.com for my petsitting needs and found a great dogsitter there. Seems like there might be a need for something similar for backyard chickens.

Good luck!
