Chicken sitting back on her haunches

Yes, tuna could be a good source of extra protein for your chickens, especially if you're trying to help one gain strength or recover. Tuna is high in protein and contains beneficial omega-3 fatty acids. However, it's important to feed it in moderation since it can be high in salt. You could mix small amounts of tuna with their regular food to provide a protein boost. If Mae, your chicken, is having trouble eating, you could also try mixing tuna into her tube feeding formula, but make sure to check for any reactions or concerns with her diet.

Ok. I have been mixing her feed with water and some vitamins and some peanutbutter for protein and fat. She will eat 1/3 cup like crazy. No loss of appetite. When I pick her up and push my hands against her feet she won't resist. My other chickens push back with their feet. But she will still get on a roost. Thank you for your suggestions. I'll try the tuna

I have a chicken that is about 3 years old and she's been sitting back on her haunches.A lot lately. She's eating fine walking fine and seems to be doing okay other than that. It's just like she is a little weak or tired. I have treated her with ivermectin pour on. A few drops to the back of her neck. I dint see any obvious signs of mites, lice , worms etc. But worried she has something like that draining her. I have had her on 2cc poultry cell for about 1.5 weeks. Any other ideas or suggestions?

No one is laying a lot due to winter but this has been about 3 weeks so I dint think it's that. When she walks and stands it's a normal stance. She just looks like she gets tired and sits down. When I go outside to check on them she is sitting like this but will get up and walk normal.

I'd also start her on Extra Calcium. Give her 1 Tablet Calcium Citrate+D3 once daily for 5 days.

Start her on 400IU Vitamin E and 1/4 tablet B-Complex daily along with a small treat of Egg.
For the rest of her intake, encourage her to eat her Normal Nutritionally Balanced Poultry Feed.

Does she have any lice/mites?
Is her crop emptying?

Photos of her poop?

Should I add all those vitamins to the 2cc poultry cell im already giving? I know it has the B's in it. She's pooping ok and eating when I give her the mix I described. Crop is fine. I dint see any mites or lice. I did treat with ivermectin on the back of her neck just in case. The calcium tablets I have are 800IU of d3 and 600mg of calcium. Will that work? I dint have photos of the poop. I can try to isolaye her this evening and see if she will poop so I can get a picture. She's with the others now. I looked at her poop yesterday and it looked fine. No worms. It did seem a little dark color but not quite black. So was not worried about blood.

The calcium you have is fine.

I'd start her on the Vitamin E and B-Complex.

Poultry Cell is good for quick uptake, but it has a small amount of E (50IU) in 1 ounce - how much is in 2ml?

It looks like 50 IU per cc
Per Fluid Ounce, not per cc.

I would give the 400IU Vitamin E gel cap daily.
