Chicken sitting

I have a small coop with 3 hens. I'm going to Italy in April (hopefully).
Anyone have any ideas on how to find a chicken sitter?
I'm participating in a chicken coop tour next month so hope to network then with other chicken keepers.

ask a dog sitter if they would sit your chickens for you, some do branch out into other animal sitting not just dogs and cats. That might start some new well appriciated business,especially with people hurting for money. I had my mother in law watch mine for a week. Shes a good woman.

Teenagers in high school make good slaves.
Call your local hs and ask them to recommend one who's looking for a job.

Go to a feed store or tack store and put up an ad for some FFA or 4-H kids. They're usually pretty good.

How about the next door neighbor? They can collect the eggs for themselves while you are gone, as payment. Or even here..maybe another BYC'er lives near you?
