Hello all,

I have a small problem: One of my GLW's - Dazzle - has just started sleeping in the nesting boxes about 3 days ago. She used to be broody, and sleep in there - but when she was done being broody I broke her from sleeping there. Why is she back to her old habit? And how to I brake her for good?
Thanks for any advice!

Maybe it's easier than facing roost time antics?? Or the roost is too low to give the perch high as you can instinct??

Block the nest before roost time until she stops trying to sleep in there.

Why is she back to her old habit?
Are you sure she's not broody again?
How big is your coop, in feet by feet?
Dimensions and pics would help.
How many birds(with ages and genders) do you have?
How long since you broke her from sleeping in nests?
Sorry for all the questions, but if you really want to know.....

I don't mind all the questions. :)

1. Are you sure she's not broody again?
Yes, I'm pretty sure she's not broody. She is never in the nest boxes during the day.
2. How big is your coop, in feet by feet?
I don't know...but I'll get that info asap. :)
3. How many birds(with ages and genders) do you have?
I have six pullets, they will be hens in the end of February. (3 BO's and 3 GLW's)
4. How long since you broke her from sleeping in nests?
I'm not really sure, sorry.

But, I do have one piece of news! She slept on the perch last night without me doing anything! :D
