My chicks are between 4 and 5 weeks old and I brought them outside for the first time today. They seemed to enjoy themselves pecking at the grass and weeds and what not. My question is what kind of snacks or treats can I give them? They attack everything that looks like a worm.

Haha I have to giggle that you feed chickens... Chickens lol!
I've ready that pumpkin and strawberry is good for them have you ever tried that?

It took a while for my chicks to catch on to snacks, but at 8 weeks these are the things they like:

Plain Greek Yogurt (Favorite!)
Tomatoes (Especially the watery/seedy part, if they flip over so just the skin is showing, they ignore them)
Grapes (Favorite!)
Earthworms (Some go crazy for them, some ignore them)
Spiders (bugs in general)
Dried Cranberries (sometimes)
Strawberries
Ham
Clover and grass (at least, they peck at it when outside, not sure how much they're actually eating)

I tried bits of prune and lettuce tonight, but they weren't too interested.

Lol, yeah the eggs are good protein for them. I haven't tried anything else with the younger ones yet. However, our older ones love all kinds of food. We give them all sorts of leftovers.
