Chicken spending the day in nest box.

I don't think she is broody. She lets me pull eggs out from under her and she stays out when I pick her up and put her out.
It just seems a bit odd that when she gets in to lay an egg she just doesn't get out again. She has only done it the past two days.

Anyone have any ideas why she is doing this?

Sounds to me she is broody. I was able to pull the eggs out from under her as well. She would get off the nest but only for 20min or so and back on. Do you not want her broody? I bought 2 wooden eggs and would pull the other eggs she would steal out from under her and she sat for 21 days then I put day old chicks under her and she accepted them. So precious to watch mama and babies.

She can go broody all she wants and it might be fun to let her keep some eggs and see what happens, but I don't really want to do so until I'm sure she is broody.
