Hi, can I have some advice please.
One of my chickens (a 1 year old hybrid/warren chicken the kind found in egg barns) is ill. When called for food she came over slowly then went and lay down next to the water drinker. She has liquid all over her chest and under her beak, she is holding her wings away from her body, her eyes shut and when I picked her up scentless clear liquid squirted from her vent (all over my leg).
When placed on the ground outside the fence she found and started to eat a snail, she has also eaten some mash but is wobbly when moving.
I was concerned it could be heat stroke as it has been warm today (about 16 to 19°C) but I don’t think that would explain the diarrhoea.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
