How many weeks should the chickies be on it? What do you give your girl baby chicks after that?

I feed starter (mine has 22% protein) until about 8 weeks then I switch to grower (which has 20% protein). Once they start laying you can switch them to layer (which has about 16% protein and a lot of calcium) but don't switch until they start laying. Or you can keep them on grower and add calcium on the side as oyster shell. That's what I do. They eat the calcium when needed.

    What SCG said.

I follow the second pattern, keeping the flock on grower/finisher feed and having crushed oyster shell out 24/7 free choice.
