Chicken Story time!!!!!!!!! Tell me stories with you and your chicken!!!

You know you want to tell the story about the time the chicken flew on your head or what ever!! Share a happy, sad, funny, or nerve-racking story about your chicken(s). I've had some funny times with my chickens and I bet you have too! So just have fun with it. But tell me if you want to anouce the top 10 winners but you don't have to. And just have fun with it!!!!!!

The Cat and the Chicken
Here is something funny. One time I let me chicken inside the house. I went to the bathroom for second to find a hairbrush. When I came out I couldn't find my chicken and I got scared. I looked all around the house. I went up to my bedrrom. And I found my cat. And guess you was next to him? My chicken, Katy. They were all snuggled up together. It was adorable!!!

I bought a very handsome rooster today at an auction. Walking to my car, i placed a five gallon bucket with lid (that my rooster was in. Don't worry it had holes). I started to drive back home when all of a sudden a loud commotion from the back of my car grabbed my attention. Out flew my rooster, and boy was he mad. With feathers flying, he screeched and flew from seat to seat making it impossible to drive. I had to pull over to put my rooster back in his bucket. Scared the dickens out of me.

I love the idea of this thread. I just became a chicken lover 2 and half months ago. My intention was to create fun memories with my grandson and to get some eggs. What I am receiving along the way is amazing. I have been sharing my chicken experience with anyone who will listen. A friend from work told me she was interested in getting some chicks too. I just came back from the feed store where I met my friend. She brought her two grand children and let them pick out 4 chicks. It was wonderful to share the information I have learned first hand as well as the information you all have shared. To watch the happiness on their faces and hear them all saying how excited they were was heart warming. I am not feeling particularly festive this year but this really touched my heart. I have had a smile on my face for 2 hours now. Thanks for giving me a space to share this :>

Your welcome!! I remember getting my chicks and how exciting it was. But now they are a least 6 or 7 months old and they are laying. But love them just as much as when they were chicks. I love my chickens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a rooster that walks up to me like he is going to attack me, then, he just pecks my pajama pants (I usaully wear them out) and trys to eat the weird figures on there! Then he eats my boots! XD LMBO
