Hi guys I have a chicken that seems to be struggling to breath other that her being quite thin and underweight we can't seem to find anything wrong with her she also sneezes every now and again if anyone knows what could be wrong it would be really helpful

Can you get a video of her? Upload to youtube and provide a link.

How long has she been having trouble?
How long have you had her?
Any new chickens to your flock in the last 30 days?
How old is she?

Look inside her beak for obstruction, canker or lesions. Struggling to breath and being thin along with sneezing - she may have respiratory disease. Have you noticed mucous or bubbles in the eyes?

I would keep her warm, see if she can drink for you.

This could be due to an infection with syngamus trachea (they live in and thus obstruct the airways of chicken) or tape worms.

I've been away for a while but I noticed her sneezing a couple of weeks ago we though nothing of it but when I came home yesterday I checked on her and she was worse, looking her balance when she sneezed, stretching her neck out to breath we haven't been able to hold her still for long enough to get a good look in her throat.
At the moment she's one of the oldest in our flock at around 3 years, we hatched her out and shes got 1 sister left, none of the others are showing any signs, she has been eating though.

This is my parents flock i really only see them about once or twice a week so unfortunately I'm not really sure exactly how long this has been going on for.

Where are you located?

If vet care is possible that would be good.

I would lean toward respiratory illness, you can try Tylosin to see if that helps.

Does she have any bloat or swelling of the abdomen?

We're in west Australia
She seems to be breathing better today and we haven't found any swelling anywhere.
