Chicken suddenly died without symptoms

Last night one of my hens died out of nowhere. She was already on perch while I was treating other hen, and 30 mins later I found her lying dead with plenty blood on the porch and bedding. The door was shut so I don't think she got attacked. I couldn't find any wounds or where does the blood came from only with a small purple spot on the belly.

Anyone might know what cause this? Is it fatty liver hemorrhagic syndrome?

I'm sorry for your loss.

That looks like a lot of blood on that perch to have come from the bloody feathers in that spot you are pointing out. Have they been fighting? Had you looked at her feet to see if there's an injury there?

If you can't find any other wounds or source of that blood, or no reason for her bloody quills, consider sending or taking her in for a necropsy to learn what it might be.
