We have 14 girls 1 roo, the baby of our young flock is a bantam polish crested chicken. Her name is sunspot. This morning my sister was vacuuming opened the filter and found sunspot soaked head to toe but amazingly alive. Now shes inside eating and drying off but she smells like chlorine should we wash her before her or another chicken gets the chlorine out of the feathers? just get her dry with a towel and a heat lamp? I would give her a bath before she drys then you can use a hair dryer on low or just let her air dry.

I agree. Give her a bath with a gentle pet shampoo to get the chlorine out of her feathers since it could be quite irritating to her skin. I use a blow dryer on low for my silkies and then keep them inside for 24 hours to make sure they are completely dry.
