CHICKEN SWALLOWED EARRING

A few hours ago my chicken Winifred was sitting in my lap. She seemed very content and relaxed. Suddenly she noticed my earring. She pecked it right out of my ear! In 3 seconds flat she had swallowed it! I don't know what to do. She seems fine but I don't know if it could hurt her. I'm really worried. She's my favorite chicken and I don't want her to die!

it could hurt her... I have however found staples inside a chicken while butchering that they had eaten and it hadn't hurt them. she might be ok. pretty sure as long as it makes it past her crop, her body will keep it in her gizzard until it is ground down small enough to pass unrecognizable. since the crop empties over night as long as shes ok tomorrow she should be fine.
