Hey, not much happening here or do you have another thread?
Either way, I'll be looking for 4 pullets to add to my flock. DH got the chicken coop addition finished or atleast enough for me to begin adding my touch. Imagine having the whole back wall 1/2 of a glass sliding door! Its laying on its side, and set in with strong support to hold the roof up. I am so incredibly spoiled...actually he mentioned a few more layers where mine are going into their 5th winter. Ureal how time has flown by.
Ok, have a great day!

I had a hawk (and he probably had a few friends) come take 4 of my birds yesterday. 3 young and one adult and 2 weeks ago got my new male guinea. grrrrrr not having a good week. so pretty much what I had to sell at the swap was hawk food. just the 2 pair of cochin bantams left (or single males). thankfully they were still in the coop with the baby guineas.
so now everyone has to say locked up til spring.
poor things.

Hi Folks - I posted this in 'ramblings' - but just wanted to let you know as well, though I know its 'off-topic' - just trying to get the word out.

Scott is very knowledgeable about all aspects of poultry, so if you have that burning question that you just gotta have answered, hes yer man!

'Preparing your Flock for Winter' is the topic of a free workshop offered at Tractor Supply Company in Augusta with Maine Poultry Growers Association's President, Scott Greaney - Sunday, September 20 at 1:30pm
420 Civic Center Drive, 621-2800

Its nice that your doing that and for Scott to be giving these, awsome. I've thought about joining the MAPA and have even been encouraged to join by Don Hoenig, MSV.
I have not had a chance to sit down and think about the fun match yet. But I will get my mind grasped around it.
Take care!

Free Range, you may wish to change the date on this link so to advertise the next chicken Fest! I'm excited!!!
The next item in order is that I have this peeping coming from under my bird!!!! WOOOOHOOOO, its a EE and daddy is Scooter!
Keep you fingers crossed!! Please!
