Chicken Swap in Polk County NC - Saturday, March 15th - 9am to 1pm

Hi Folks!

The Mill Spring Ag Center in Polk County NC is hosting a Chicken Swap for all interested in attending. The swap will be from 9am to 1pm and will feature many heritage breeds and we welcome you to come and bring your chicks, pullets, chickens, ducks, turkeys, and more! Also that day the Ag Center is hosting an Indoor Farmers Market, seed swap, and a class about hugelkultur.

The Mill Spring Ag Center is located about 45 minutes from Asheville NC and Spartanburg SC, and about 1.5 hrs from Charlotte NC and Greenville SC. Our address is 156 School Road, Mill Spring NC 28756 and our website is www.polkcountyfarms.org.

Had fun today at Mill Spring Agricultural Center! Although there wasn't much chicken swapping going on, you could not find a friendlier group of people.











The local crafts were located inside the old school.

Everyone was enthusastic about their craft





These locally made bowls were made from local trees. Really a work of art.









Located inside the old school is a store that sells local organic produce, including milk, eggs, goat meat, coffee, and so forth.
















I like the location of the area. Convenient to Greenville, Spartanburg, SC, Asheville, NC. Maybe next time there can be more poultry swapping. These folks are proud of the work they do and are darn friendly.
