Milford Swap Fathers Day...anyone bringing any dutch breeds (bantam). I am looking for a small pair or trio. Prefer light color, but am open. I would like them to be at least 3-4 weeks old minimum.

oh, she isnt in front of the window totally, and its a shaded window by a lilac bush. half the cage is near window half is against a wall. maybe i will clean out the outside pen and let her out in the shade during the day . we will see, not sure, ughhh

If you like her in the house you should litter train her, get her spayed, and keep her as a house rabbit! Rabbits kept in the house are more social with their families. They will come sit with you on the couch and follow you around. I lived in an apartment in Greenville, NH for a while and I had an awesome Mini Lop buck for a house rabbit. He knew the names of all the rooms so I could say things like "get back in the living room!" and no matter where I was in the apartment with him he would go running for the living room. You get to see a lot more of their antics as house rabbits too. Dash (the aforementioned Mini Lop house rabbit) would do this thing where he would go to the end of a long hall that connected the bathroom to the kitchen, then he would run full speed down the carpeted hallway and just as he reached the kitchen he would jump in the air. He would come down on all fours on the hardwood kitchen floor and slide all the way across. Then he would get up, turn around and hop calmly down the hall to start the process all over. Having a house rabbit is definitely the best way to enjoy your rabbit pet. Even if you don't intend to, outdoor rabbits get less attention than rabbits that are kept inside in a room that people frequent.

Our current house bunny is a Dutch but she lives behind bars in the living room. She is a naughty bunny who refuses to use the litter box and finds anything and everything that she can destroy when she gets out for exercise. Still, being in the living room we spend a lot more time with her than if she were out in the rabbitry or one of the hutches.

I do recommend frozen soda bottles as well. I had an entire freezer full of them all summer when I was still raising rabbits. Actually, they are still in the freezer from last year because I've been too busy with other stuff to take them out and thaw/drain them. Luckily my DH and I are terrible hunters so we haven't had to use the freezer space for something useful like game meat

Yeah, I vote for house rabbit but do read up on "rabbit proofing" your house. Not anymore difficult than baby proofing is.
