**Chicken Swap Roanoke, Va**

Trying to see if we can generate enough interest in having a chicken swap in Roanoke, VA. Most of the others are so far away...although I have heard there is one in Elliston every 1st and 3rd Saturday..which I'm going to check out this week-end. I'm going to speak with the manager of TSC and hopefully they will be interested..

Apparently they have a Farmers Mart/Swap every 1st and 3rd Saturday in Elliston, here is an excerpt from the email in response to my Craigslist question about Chicken Swaps near Roanoke....

" Good luck!I posted a similiar ad sometime back and had oodles of response ... so started a Farmers Yard Sale/Swap meet on the first and third Saturday of each month in Elliston (on US 11 between Salem & Christiansburg) .. If you like come see how we are doing on Sat. 7/18. "

I am going to try and check it out this week-end...I still have a couple of roosters to get rid of or they are going to "freezer camp"

) Yes really really trying to get rid of my pigeons so my husband doesn't eat them! We are about 1.5 hours from Roanoke and of course it will depend on the weekend!!!

TSC is supposed to get back with me on hosting the swap...the asst. mgr says they are having a customer appreciation day on Aug 25th and they may add it to that or just do a separate day altogether..I'll keep you posted
