I guess he left behind his own little surprise. It's cute because no one believes me that I have 2 cochins that lay blue eggs. One is blue and one is black and they even have the head and feather feet of the cochin.

I also got a few pale blue chicks from those eggs I got from you and are they ever the roundest fuzziets chicks too!

Yes, I have some different shades of blue in the brooder now also. One is a very pretty light shade of blue, almost white with just the blue tint to it. They definatly look like cochins.

Actually there are three hatched out of 11 from my daughters pen. Black laced red Wyandotte over GLW and Buff Brahmas. I peaked real quick cause they are in the new bator that doesn't have windows. They aren't really due until tomorrow.

Hey everyone !

I'm turning into the hatching-egg-aholic ... but I'm looking for LF cochin eggs (they're going to be a gift to someone that has been wonderful to me and they're her favorite

) ... not picky about color but must be LF and must be pure (Frizzle is ok too

)

OHH and I think I got eggs from 1Chick Magnet (???) at Griffinbrook's swap - a mixed dozen - 7/10 hatched, but I found one dead (I think the mom - 1st time LF cochin mom- squished it) but I've got 6 healthy chicks ... and 1 more egg under another hen that I put under a week later

... so thank you ... I do have a little naked neck something in the mix
