Yes, he processes them. BUT he's a nice guy !!!! Not some scummy guy looking to make a $$ thru auction. He's clean and humane (unlike some who travel around looking for free birds for auction) Ive talked to him many of times and he really just does it to help people who have to many roos and cant get rid of them. From what I understand he feeds his own family with them and might give some meat away.

Im sure if you saw him some of you would know who he was... Tall guy who walks around with his son (cute kid, about 5 yrs old)

I think he is right over the MASS line... Going past Milford area.... Ill go look at his business card and post what town he's in.

I know he takes them for free and i'm not sure if he pays for them... I imagine if you had a bunch he'd give yah something for them if you asked.

yep, i've met him before and gave him a bantam cochin last year. he is very nice like Swtangel said. i just wasn't sure if he would let the younger ones grow out so they are not so scrawny or if he would rather take them when they are larger. my dh tried to process a nasty attitude mixed breed bantam cockerel for me about a month ago and it was just too small for his hands to properly clean. so he won't do them anymore even though i insist on keeping bantams breeds.

i was told that he sometimes will pay for them if you are trying to sell and don't mind that he will be processing them. but not a huge amount of $$ and they have to be healthy. i know there is someone who has shown up at Shay's down in MA but i'm not sure if that was the same person or another.

Jen or really any regulars...can you point the roo man out to me at Chichester?

I have too many roos and would take a couple bucks a peice for them if he would be willing. I have someone in Goffstown that wants them for $3 each but I have to drive and just want to recoup a little feed $$.

Do you know if he only wants mature ones?

darn, I just sold 3 young hens. I have a couple d'anvers chicks but that is as close as I can come.

I had my first 100% hatch last weekend. all silkies.
about a week ago one of my girls hatched my second blue showgirl.
I have been hanging on to number 1 in case it never happened again.
I have decided to sell the first showgirl. it is somewhere between 10 to 12 weeks old
and extra small. mom is tiny. if anyone is interested pm me.
