The only thing would suggest is that you should do a quick check just to be sure there are no dead ones in there. I know that if there was one born dead or if one died after in can contaminate the nest and risk the others. You can bring the nest box in if mom will allow it. or heat a towel in the dryer and have some one help you. take them all out of the next quickly one at a time. Check them over quick. Check the whole nest to be sure nothing needs to be removed or cleaned. Then put them right back.

Is this a first time mom? How does she feel about you being in there?

I am going to check today as soon as it warms up. this is her second litter. the first was only 2. I had her bred when I bought her. I have only had her 5 weeks. I have been patting her daily. she does not shy away from me at all.

I have moms that I have to wait a day or two just to let them settle in before I check things out. I have others that do not mind if you are right there when they come out. I had one first time mom start giving birth one the wire. I moved her and the baby into the box and she finished in there. She did not mind me being involved at all. They Are all different.

I did have the dead kit issue in one of my first litters and was so glad someone told me to check. Best of luck. Keep me posted! I have not done any spring breeding yet....I am late!

Her name isn't mischief for nothing.......lol
I think it is because she knew who I was yesterday. Boy do I miss all my babies.
I am just happy she is in a good home and happy. I would really love a few of her eggs, especially if she is in with Bubba....lol
