BUT I am leaving that up to them to work out with the poeple getting rid of the birds

Will anyone have 2 or 3 friendly, good winter laying, standard or large-sized pullets or hens under 1 yr old at Chichester tomorrow?

We will be bringing a couple of standard Ameraucana POL pullets and some Bantam Araucana/Ameraucana's.
We will also have some RIR or NH Red hens. We were told they were NH Reds but they look like RIR's to me. They are between a year and a year and a half of age. Some are starting to moult but all were laying. I will also have a few Millie Fluer cochin bantams about 4 wks old and a gold laced Polish about 6 wks old.

I have button quail hatching eggs available. Also chicks 3 weeks old now. But,am waiting until they are over 4 weeks to bring them. RIR, NH red, Barred rocks. some are all white with a random black spots? bought them at the Topsfield fair. they are straight run. 5 dollars each.

Muscovie ducks....... will only bring if definite interest, otherwise plan to keep them. Auctioned off most of my extras at topsfield last week . Did really well.....

Todays swap went great lots of sales of everything from birds to bunnys even lots of cages

The Rooster round up was a great success

40 roosters total came and went everyone had a good time

But everything comes to a end

for these season

the swap today was very interesting. lots of people showed up with roosters. the funny thing is that there was very little crowing

the rooster people did not show up right away so we had a parking lot full of people doing this

of course that gave me a chance to look around and sneak a little boy into our trailer

the little bugger was quiet as a church mouse till greg came and sat down. then the little guy let a few rip and I went

.
It was amazing how fast all the roos vanished once the roo people showed. it was a great day for all parties and a number of people who brought roos went home with different roos as some of the birds there were really beautiful.

I got to see a boy who hatched from one of my eggs in vermont. was he a looker!

I was wondering if anyone was interested in a rooster roundup encore next weekend? this would be the last opportunity to bring your unwanted roos because it is our last swap this season. let blazingsaddles know if you want him to try to set up another roundup. if there is enough interest maybe he can arrange to do it again next week. it was fun.
